The electronic citizen ID cards and passports of the Cyprus Republic are Made in Greece. Hundreds of thousands have already been delivered!

The new electronic citizen identity cards and passports held by the Cyprus Republic citizens are “made in Greece” and have been produced at the facilities of Veridos Matsoukis Security Printing S.A. in Athens.

Within less than a year from the signature of the contract, Veridos Matsoukis S.A. delivered to the Cyprus Republic Authorities the new citizens’ electronic ID cards and passports, and the new electronic residence permits, in compliance with the recent standards of the European Union.

A similar number of travel documents deliveries is scheduled for 2021.

All documents, are produced in Greece by Veridos Matsoukis S.A., using state of the art equipment and they are certified with the most advanced international quality and security standards. In addition, they fully comply with the European specification and fulfill all security standards to avoid counterfeit and falsification, as well as for the protection of the citizens and their personal data.

It should be also mentioned that, Veridos, the mother company, has also undertaken the upgrade of the equipment and software system at the facilities at the State of Cyprus.

Cyprus is one out of the 40 countries, the security travel documents of which (identity cards, passports, etc.) are produced in Greece.
